Weddings By Sheila

With This Ring I Thee Wed

From the Traditional to the contemporary to the unique. Your wedding ceremony will reflect your own personal conviction of what a marriage should symbolize.

The truly meaningful wedding ceremony will move the witnesses into the presence of love that you two share.

Although love is deeper than words, words of love need to be spoken. Marriage is more than equal giving, it is the total giving of each to the other, and always with due regard for the rights and beliefs of the other.

I can perform the ceremony, but it is you two who will perform the marriage. This you will do as you grow in love for each other. With your ceremony set the tone and firm foundation for a loving, lasting, life-affirming joining of minds, hands and hearts. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, — I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! — and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
-Elizabeth Barrett Browning
